Events & Careers

Your degree is only a small part of the engineering journey. Presenting yourself to

the right employer is an important opportunity that the engineering society can

provide! We work directly with the careers team here at the University of Leicester

and frequently attend engineering expos year round such as:

 

• Smart Manufacturing Week​                            Manufactoring Management Show

• Robotics & Automation MTC                           Med-Tech Innovation Expo

• Advanced Engineering                                      Engineering Design Show

• TCT 3Sixty

 

 

 Competition & Collaboration

As members, you'll get full access to our support and resources to assist your

studies. Look out for our dedicated revision sessions, aimed at providing a

safespace to collaborate and further group work. Direct communcation with

your school and course reps will make your voice heard. First year psyc-out,

struggling with second year, fed up with third? Let us know and you'll be

certain the SSC Academics hear about it!

 

 

 

 

Socials & Meet ups

Our aim this year to is to collaborate with other soceties, many

of our members are part of several others. If you'd like to involve

another society with our socials, let us know! There are plenty of

opportunities to get involved, not all socials are bout drinking, but

some certainly are! We are an academic society so make it our

top prioirty to network you in a friendly meet up, targetting your

common interests in both focus groups and larger get togethers.

 

 

 

The Engineering ball

To congradulate our hard working members, we're here to organise the 

engineering ball! To celebrate a years worth of academic achievement

we are hosting an awards ceremony, drinks and meals where you can

take out your most elegant clothes. As engineers, we'll come to you to

decide our theme but we'll organise the rest from there!
